On this date, elBulli1846 opened its doors in Cala Montjoi for the first time, setting a new standard for gastronomy and innovation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The museum was created to preserve the legacy of elBulli<\/strong>, share the knowledge accumulated over decades, and continue to inspire new generations through creativity and research.
\nPrior to the official opening, more than six hundred Bullinians, former members of the restaurant’s team, travelled from countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Italy, Portugal and Belgium<\/strong> to reconnect with the spirit of elBulli and catch a glimpse of Ferran Adri\u00e0<\/strong> and the elBullifoundation’s<\/strong> new project. This event marked the start of the 2023 season, which will run until 16 September.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Spanning more than 4,000 m\u00b2 and featuring 69 artistic, conceptual and audiovisual installations<\/strong>, elBulli1846 offers visitors a unique journey through the history of one of the world’s most influential restaurants. Visitors can experience a complete service in the original dining room, explore 28 iconic dishes recreated in detail<\/strong>, enter the kitchen where the restaurant’s final 1,846 creations were conceived and discover how disciplines such as art and travel \u2014 particularly Ferran Adri\u00e0’s trip to Japan<\/strong> \u2014 inspired his creativity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The space also invites visitors to reflect on essential questions: What does it mean to create? How did cooking begin? What processes are involved in gastronomic restoration? These questions accompany a journey that looks not only to the past, but also to the future, with projects such as elBulliDNA<\/strong> and Bullipedia<\/strong> designed to continue fostering knowledge and innovation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cElBulli1846 will enable visitors to grasp what made elBulli unique, and to experience the emotions that were felt here,\u201d<\/strong> says Ferran Adri\u00e0. The first visitors shared this sentiment, highlighting the fidelity with which the historical material has been preserved and the opportunity to enter a legendary gastronomic establishment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Designed to be a living space, the museum combines the preservation of the former elBulli restaurant’s<\/strong> historic building with new facilities that blend into the Cap de Creus landscape, such as the rock that houses elBulliDNA. Additionally, a minibus service from Roses promotes sustainable access and reduces the environmental impact of visits.<\/p>\n
