The Fundació Esclerosi Múltiple (FEM) [Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF)] celebrated its 20th anniversary with a gastronomic party (Barcelona)
The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (WEF) hosted a dinner to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style. Three well-known pastry chefs and a famous pastissier surprised the guests with their creations. The anniversary celebration brought together a group of chefs for a very special event: Joan Roca (El Celler de Can Roca, recognised a few days ago as the 5th best restaurant in the world), Carles Gaig (Can Gaig), Ramon Freixa (Freixa Tradició) and Cristian Escribà (Patisseria Escribà).
This is undoubtedly one of the most important events in which Catalans participate actively, year after year, to support an institution that fights a disease as serious as multiple sclerosis. One of the many charitable activities held during the festival was the Dinner Dance-Taxi, an event which has taken place every year since 1992 and is one of the most important for the Foundation. Modelled on a dance from the past, women are assigned a number and men who want to dance with any of them pay a certain amount to do so and, of course, all money raised goes to the Foundation.
Institutions, companies and individuals attended the dinner, purchased their tickets, and then participated in dance by making a small donation. The honoured guests were politicians, celebrities, sportsmen...
In addition, we had the unconditional support of students and professors from the School of Hospitality and Tourism-CETT, as well as full use of the facilities at Hotel Alimara.
