Presentation of the Ribeiro new wines (Barcelona)

The body regulating the Ribeiro’s guarantee of origin (Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen de Ribeiro, CRDO Ribeiro) organized last Wednesday October the 27th a show-room in which 13 wineries took part. It was possible to taste more than 50 different wines, fruit of the last season on the Ribeiro’s vineyards.
The event, which enjoyed the visit by more than 400 professionals –including sommeliers, restaurateurs, distributors and specialized press–, took place at Casa Capell in the district of Barcelona called Gràcia.
It was the third of these presentations of the extraordinary Ribeiro wines in Barcelona. The last two happened in 2008 and 2009 and, according to the president of CRDO Ribeiro, Luis Anxo Rodríguez Vázquez, it is “essential that these kinds of events keep happening to promote the adequate knowledge of our wines”.
“This is not an action with a merely commercial purpose, but a presentation in which we want to highlight the elegance, exclusiveness, quality and refinement of our wines. Our wish is to make them known among the specialized public”, Anxo explained.
Those present at the show-room could speak directly with the wineries and taste the different varieties that were presented there: the traditional white wines, the red wines, the sweet wines, etc., which captivated and surprised the guests.
To accompany this party of aromas and flavours, there was also for all the participants an exclusive oyster cocktail.
