Mey Hofmann presents her cookery book

Moritz received in its renowned premises of the Velódromo bar the presentation of the high cookery book by Mey Hofmann. This book aims to be a summary of the most genuine and sophisticated recipes that this chef has collected during more than thirty years of experience at the burners.
The event, where one could enjoy the presence of both Mey Hofmann and Albert Castellón, Moritz’s general director, also received the visit of professionals and friends of the chef’s that have been by her side in her professional and personal life.
This book, including 78 recipes altogether, contains snacks, appetizers, starters, as well as meat and fish-based dishes. This publication completes the one that was presented in 2008, which was devoted to confectionery, on which she is also an expert. The prologue, in charge of Carme Ruscalleda, emphasizes the quality of her work in her cooking school, her gastronomic restaurant and her bakery in el Born district.
The relationship between Moritz and Mey Hofmann goes beyond the publication of this book and the one before, because from last May, Velódromo’s menu includes evening cakes and desserts from her workshop.
Some of the pastries and cakes that one can find there are: lemon cake, apple crumble cake, Sachertorte cake, carrot cake, berry crumble cake, magdalenas and chocolate clouds.
